Hello! I am Tasanee Dumas, face behind ‘Transparent T’ - I made this blog with the dream of writing about my experience's, my everyday life, reviewing things I love, having open conversations, talks about God, trying recipes and discussing the mental/emotional struggles we all face in life.
My blog is an open space for open conversations while also detailing real experiences and feelings I have faced in my day to day life! Of course we are keeping it transparent!
I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and when I was younger I always had a love for writing, all my best score’s in school, they were in writing. I was on the debate team in high school as well so I’ve always loved the way I can have useful conversations with different perspectives.
Growing up, I used to journal because I always felt as if I was very misunderstood to a lot of people in my family but in friendships as well. I used to write about my feelings and it ended up leading me to researching a lot of psychology behind why some individuals act the way they do. This is a perspective I will draw here into my blog as well as guidance given to me from the creator above.
I love to bake and cook! I have ton’s of girl dinner’s to share with you as well as recipes over bread and sweets. I am not shy when it comes to filling up people’s bellies, that’s the Asian side in me.
I am African American and Thai, I grew up with separated parents and I can say I think that was definitely for the best. We will definitely dive deeper into these topics more on my blog as yall get to know me!
When I want to have some fun I enjoy going out for a good mocktail at a high class restaurant, something about debriefing with my friends while sipping a mock-tail does it for me. You’ll find me at local farmers markets, small cafes sipping chai, spending time with my tuxedo cat (Astro), my pit bull beauty girl (Diva) and anywhere with garden supplies.
My hope is that through my blog I’m able to be a light that I needed so many years ago and open conversations among woman so we can grow for ourselves and our future generations.
